The WFS Turns 5

Today is the fifth anniversary of the completion of my Wetterau Food Services Micro Layout. The foamcore baseboard is still going strong (turns 7 later in 2021); however, COVID-19 has kept it from being displayed at in-person train shows.

The tail track on the left side of the layout has been extended to accommodate longer locomotives. Layout size has increased to 535 square inches, but it's still well under the 576 square inch micro footprint. I have finally got around to adding railroad crossing signs to the street using a simple kit from Blair Lines LLC.

Hopefully train shows will resume later this year and I can take the layout on the road again.
